day 4 Virginia trip 2008

We are so tired. So tired, we didn't do more than venture out to see Grammy and come back to the cabin. We mostly hung out around the house all day trying to get settled in more since we'll be here for 10 days. We can't decide what town to go to first. It's great to look out the window and see trees, make that a forest. This picture is our cabin taken from the creek that runs next to it. It's an old schoolhouse, that was then used as a barn, then a rental house, and now a rental cabin for vacationers. Chuck and Sarah bought it in January and spent Jan-Mar repairing it to be ready for people like us.

The pool table is really in what should be the living room. It's connected to the kitchen, but you need the elbow room to shoot. So the living room is in what we think is the master bedroom since it has a full bath connected to it. It's called the Alone Mill Schoolhouse in Lexington VA if you're interested in staying there. From the main road (Hwy 11) it takes 12 minutes to go the distance to the cabin.
